Ethnic Inspired Polymer clay Jewelry

I love the rich earth-toned colors and varied textures of my latest collection of wearable art.
The deep russet, gold, and copper shades remind me of the falling leaves in Autumn. I miss the change of seasons, living here in sunny Florida. You would think I'd be used to it after over 30 years of living on the West Coast. I think my heart will always belong to the small CT. town that I grew up in.

Please come browse my Etsy Shop for these pieces, and many more of my artisan jewelry.

Polymer Clay Miniature Pendants

Humming Bird Pendant
Fall is in the air here in Florida, anything in the 70's is considered a cool spell in the Sunshine State! Hoping for a cooler winter this year too, maybe I'll even get to wear a sweater! The brisk weather has inspired me to add a bit of the outdoors to my work. I'm trying something a bit more organic & using more earth-tones. Take a peek at my miniature 1" square pendants.

Polymer Clay Faux Dichroic

My latest experiments involve the use of some scraps leftover from other projects. I carefully save the little bits between layers of wax paper, and store them in plastic file drawers. Last weekend I decided it was due time to find out what was lurking in those secret drawers. What I discovered was a scrap pile consisting mostly of my favorite colors, purple, lavender, turquiose, & various blue-green shades. Here are the results of my weekend foraging:)
Most of these pendants are available in my Etsy ShopBeadazzle Me

Wearable Art for your Ears

Inks & Foil with 18K Gold
What's on my work-table this week?  Earrings!  I love making earrings, they are practically the only jewelry I wear, other than my wedding ring.
I created a fern mold & made a few sets of these, with 14K gold findings. They are quite thin & delicate, with a generous coating of resin, to add shine & depth.
Of course, I had to make some purple earrings too, my favorite color!
These "Fairy Wing" earrings are something a bit different for me. I wasn't sure I liked them & I almost threw them in the reject bowl (yes, I have a Large reject bowl) but I managed to tweak them a bit & they turned out quite interesting!
I made these leaf shaped earring from an old Kaleidoscope cane. I love Hot Pink & Orange together, it's such a 70's retro look.
